Rowayton is a small beach town within the city of Norwalk, Connecticut in the United States. Technically it’s not it’s own town, but people call it Rowayton instead of Norwalk. Its very small but in my opinion, that’s the great part of it. Everyone knows everyone, and even if you haven’t had a real conversation with them, at least you’ve heard of them once or twice.

The town’s right on the beach, so it’s in walking distance of almost every house. Even though the water isn’t crystal clear and always warm (It’s never warm), it’s still fun to swim in. The town’s beach is called Bailey and as long as you’re a citizen of Rowayton you are free to swim there when ever you want. There’s a baseball field, snack bar, a playground, a basketball court, and tennis courts. Right next door is a beach club called Roton Point. You have to be a member and pay monthly fees all year round.

There aren’t many shops either but there are a few local places to eat that are small and unique. 101 is one place that’s fun to go to and eat at. For teenagers who live in the town, it’s a hotspot to hangout at. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and ice cream. If you’re looking for a place that’s a slight bit fancier than here, then across the street is Rowayton Pizza. You can order for pick up,  delivery, or have a sitdown dinner here. Other places include Sails, Rowayton Seafood, and The Market.

Another thing that I love about Rowayton, is that you get a little bit of every season. In the summer, it is about 80 degrees everyday so it feels like a tropical place. And in the winter, it’s cold enough to snow so it feels like vermont. The reason why I love that is because I love both conditions so much that I can’t choose which is my favorite, and now I don’t have to.
